When a Consolidated Mark List Is Actually Required
Employers and universities typically ask for it when they need visibility into your subject-wise performance, not just your final result — common for postgraduate admissions, specific technical or healthcare roles, and some Gulf employers verifying qualifications through DataFlow or similar checks. If your offer letter or admission requirements don't mention it explicitly, it's worth confirming before paying to attest a document you may not need.
The Attestation Process
Obtain the Original from Your University
Request the consolidated mark list from your university's examination section — this is a university-issued document, separate from your degree certificate.
HRD Attestation
The mark list is attested by the HRD department of the state where your university is located, same as your degree certificate.
MEA Attestation
Following HRD clearance, the Ministry of External Affairs attests the document for use abroad.
Embassy Attestation (if applicable)
For non-Hague destinations like the Gulf states, the destination country's embassy provides the final attestation stamp.
