Why Dependent Visa Attestation Is a Different Process
A work visa hinges on proving your qualifications and character — degree certificates, experience letters, police clearance. A dependent visa hinges on proving a relationship — that the person you're sponsoring is legally your spouse or child. That shifts the document set almost entirely to personal certificates rather than educational ones.
It also changes which government department gets involved first. Marriage and birth certificates don't pass through HRD (the state Human Resources Department only attests educational documents) — they go straight to notarisation or state home department verification before heading to the Ministry of External Affairs.
