Attest your General or Special Power of Attorney for use in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, or European countries. Complete Notary → SDM/Home Dept → MEA → Embassy → MOFA process handled from India. Essential for NRIs managing property, finances, or legal matters back home.
Overview
A Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document that authorises one person (the agent or attorney-in-fact) to act on behalf of another (the principal) in legal, financial, or property matters. When the POA is to be used in another country — particularly Gulf nations or Europe — it must first be attested by multiple government authorities to be recognised as valid abroad.
POA attestation is the process of getting official government stamps from the Notary, State Home Department or SDM, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), and the destination country's embassy in India. For Gulf countries, a final MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) stamp in the destination country is also required.
This is especially important for NRIs who need a trusted person in India to sell property, operate bank accounts, manage investments, or handle legal proceedings on their behalf while they are abroad.
Types We Handle
We handle all types of POA documents — whether drafted in India or executed at an Indian Embassy abroad.
Grants broad authority to the holder to manage property, banking, legal, and other affairs on behalf of the principal.
Limited to a specific transaction — buying or selling a particular property. Required for property registration at Sub-Registrar offices.
Authorises the holder to operate bank accounts, manage investments, or handle financial transactions on the principal's behalf.
Authorises an advocate or representative to appear in court, sign legal documents, or settle disputes on behalf of the principal.
POA signed and notarised at an Indian Embassy or Consulate abroad. Requires MEA attestation + optional embassy/MOFA for Gulf use.
Authorises a representative to sign business contracts, manage company affairs, or handle regulatory filings on behalf of the principal.
Step-by-Step Process
The full attestation chain for Gulf use involves 5 steps. We manage all of them on your behalf.
Registered Notary Public in India attests the POA as the first mandatory verification step.
State Home Department or Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) attestation for personal and legal POA documents.
Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, issues the central government stamp — mandatory before any embassy step.
The Gulf country's embassy in India attests the MEA-stamped POA, recognising it for use in that country.
Final stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait etc. — making the POA fully valid there.
For European / Hague Convention countries: Steps 1–3 apply, followed by MEA Apostille. No embassy or MOFA step needed.
